Hi, my name is Bartosz Kali (Bart for short). I’m a professional wedding photographer based in Nottingham, UK. I hold a BA in Fine Arts from Waterloo University in Canada and I have worked in the creative industry for over ten years, five as a professional wedding photographer. I love all types of photography but wedding photography is quite special. There are plenty of great photo opportunities and the fact that I can be a part of such important family event is a great privilege, which I take very seriously. When I photograph a wedding I try to do it unobtrusively as much as possible. Taking on a photojournalistic approach I try to document your wedding as it unfolds ‘organically’ rather then staging shots and directing. However, the requirements vary from wedding to wedding so in addition I can also do contemporary portraits for the bride and groom and formal classic portraits for the parents. I think the most important thing is to reveal all the beauty and the uniqueness of that special day so it is well documented for the family and future generations. I still have an old wedding photo of my grandparents which is very dear to me. Likewise, the photos of your wedding will most likely be cherished by your grandchildren. I always try to keep this in mind.
