Whether you choose a caterer provided by the venue or chosen independently by you or your wedding planner, the food should be sampled first. Most couples decide on caterers already available in the reception venues so trying the food or even having a glimpse at the kichen should never really be an issue. It is very likely that vanue caterers will already have wedding packages and drinks may also be included in the package. You may try to save some money by suppling your own alcohol to the event and pay a corkage fee (paid to the venue staff for opening bottles). Depending on the size and splendour of your planned reception you might also be able to save money by buying your alcohol in France
